[[Canadian Amp]] came up on rotation in my [[DAP Contents|DAP]] so I let [Captnarrr](https://bsky.app/profile/captnarrr.bsky.social) know as part of our social contract as _Canadian Amp_ enjoyers in particular (rather than or in addition to liking [[Neko Case]] generally) This led to a discussion of whether it's Case's _best_ album. Captnarrr says yes with [[Blacklisted]] as a runner up. I think _Canadian Amp_ is instinctively a favorite for being like a little capsule summary of Case's whole vibe. _Blacklisted_ is probably objectively the "best" by most standards, but I think other than _Canadian Amp_ my main contender for personal favorite would be _Middle Cyclone_ which feels like the peak of Case's mythological mode, before her turn towards the psychological on the last two albums.
