[Source](https://www.magnoliamountain.org/shop/mm-x-shirasagi-dripper) > Whilst Yamanaka Shikki is mostly revered for its history, craftsmanship and beauty - its environmental sustainability, durability, natural antibacterial properties and incredible thermal insulating capabilities warrant it truly unique. We could not be more proud to present our continuing collaboration with Shirasagi and to share this traditional craft expressed through the form of the MM Dripper. > > These flat base drippers are made entirely from one piece of cherry wood and are designed to fit Kalita 185 Wave papers. Ah, interesting. Wooden drippers have mostly so far _not_ taken off, but they aren't unheard of. Kurasu carries a couple of models, [one with Shikki lacquer](https://kurasu.kyoto/collections/all-brewing-gear/products/yasukiyo-wooden-dripper) as with the Magnolia Mountain offering but about half the price, and [one with urushi](https://kurasu.kyoto/collections/all-brewing-gear/products/yasukiyo-wooden-dripper-urushi), i.e., covered in poison, just like a [super premium fountain pen](https://nibs.com/collections/nakaya). The ones that Kurasu carries will also get to you a lot faster. However, the Kurasu ones I *think* (not positive) are meant to use conical filters, while the Magnolia Mountain one is meant for Kalita flat bottom filters.
