(At least on the M3s.) * I tweaked the values on the Onkyo iSine settings to more closely (by eye) match the official EQ curves from KMann ^089123 * For the GT3 Superbass, boosting the subbass is always hilarious; also experimenting with cutting 4k and increasing circa 10k * Alternate possible EQ for the Superbass: increase 1k up to just below 4k, centering between 2k and 3k w/max +7db. Also increase 10k-13k by as much as 10db. This would be to try to approximate iSine Cipher tuning. If the peak starts getting too high in frequency the sound can get quite piercing in nature. > Although the curve can get fairly noisy above 3kHz, it should generally follow the profile shown and be roughly back to 0dB at 10kHz. And a less noisy frequency response curve is generally better sounding. > Above 20kHz the plot should continue to fall off to about -13dB below baseline. Some experimentation with the Math EQ plugin for Foobar helped isolate it and surfaced a couple of other issues, one more in the left ear and one in the right ear. I was able to set up some basic parametric EQ to correct for this, and so far it does seem to be providing a noticeable improvement on some tracks. I'm sure I'm doing it wrong, still. I'm particularly not sure about the gain and Q factor settings for 6.5khz boost to the right ear. This presents an additional layer of complication on EQ when using DAPs, because even the ridiculously overbuilt nightmare software that is Poweramp does not support separate EQ for the left and right channels, and the same seems to be true of most Android audio apps. [Hiby has a system-level convolution plugin](https://www.head-fi.org/threads/r5-a-new-android-dap-by-hiby.912566/page-209#post-15892903) that I will probably need to look into. Convolution should support literally any EQ desired -- I just have no idea how to generate the needed WAV file. #list
