See: [[Floating Leaves Alishan Black]] # Notes 10g, brewed [[Stacked Split Tea Brewing|stacked split]] 3x30s 2x60s 100g each step. No bitterness, low astringency, very thick and creamy body, and extremely smooth. # Vendor Copy > ### Story > > This is a high mountain "red oolong" from Alishan. That means it is processed like a Taiwanese black tea, but the leaves are tightly ball rolled in the style of high mountain oolong. Plus it has a complexity of notes that reflects high elevation grown tea. The generally floral and citrus bright notes of Alishan come down an octave or two, becoming something more akin to tropical fruit notes. Because of the flamboyant fragrance and sweet broth, this tea gets a lot of compliments from a wide range of tea drinkers. > > ### Description > > Aroma off the dry leaves as they hit hot porcelain is incredibly caramelly and sweet with tropical fruit tones interweaving. Broth is rich and creamy with a full mouth sweetness and tannic quality not unlike dark chocolate. On the top end I get notes of lychee and peach. > > This is an especially flavorful and rich batch of Alishan Black. It goes down smooth with a super clean finish. > > ### Facts > > - Harvest Location : Alishan, Taiwan > - Harvest Date : Spring, 2024 > - Cultivar : Qing Xin
