Got a Pulsar as a birthday gift : ) # Parameters - With paper filter - Flow rate max about 8g/s (less as chamber volume decreases) - About 2g/s at repeatable low setting - With spigot at a low setting around 45 deg took about 5 minutes to move 500mL through tea and paper filter # Initial Testing - Brewed 8g of [[Floating Leaves 2024 Smooth Water Baozhong]] - 500mL of water kept topped up (chamber holds around 300mL at a time) - Low flow setting - About 5 minute brew - Result has good fragrance and body but muted flavor - Split in two and add 45s steeps before percolation - More flavor but also a little hint of astringency - Definitely not as intense as stacked brewing Things to try in future: - initial steep with 100g or so of water, then open valve while pouring at a similar rate through the dispersion cap - rebrewing - metal filters
